This logo was developed for a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise money for a beautification project lead by volunteers in the BASE community. I wanted to capture the natural beauty of the Perrine Bridge and the Snake River. Since the project is also following the idea of "Leave-No-Trace," I wanted to emulate the look and feel of a park badge. A park badge would also allow it to easily be converted into stickers and printing on shirts for more fundraising activities. I had played around with using a BASE canopy as the banner ribbon, but every way that I placed it in the image, it gave BASE jumping too much emphasis, and the focus here is the BASE jumper community giving back to Twin Falls.
The Visitor Center area at the Perrine Bridge around the picnic table has taken a large beating. A volunteer team will be working with the City of Twin Falls and City Mayor to complete this project. The Perrine Bridge is a popular BASE jumping onject because it is be the only man-made structure in the United States where BASE jumping is allowed year-round. Prospective BASE jumpers from all over the world come to Twin Falls to learn how to safely BASE jump at this bridge. Jumpers often use the nearby visitor center as a home base before and after parachuting from the bridge. Over time, extensive use of the area has shown a lot of wear and tear. As a show of appreciation to the hospitality and generosity of Twin Falls, BASE jumpers started this project to pay it forward.
BASE jumpers, if you've made a jump here, I strongly urge you to contribute to keep this object open and welcome!
